The new Abberfield Aged Care Facility is a bespoke 138 bed accredited residence located in the bayside suburb of Sandringham.

Our rooms are elegantly decorated with high quality furniture and fittings. Bedrooms consists of a luxurious King Single Bed, Arm Chair and wall mounted Smart Television with Foxtel connections. Ceiling Heating and Cooling allows you to individually adjust the temperature to your preference.

Our vision is to provide excellent, resident focused holistic care for the elders in our home and to be the provider of the best aged care services in the community. We will also continue to strive to meet and exceed the Aged Care Quality Standards as set by the Australian Government Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

Our Mission

We endeavour to ensure a homelike, personalized environment is provided for all. We embrace “resident directed care” and as such encourage all residents to retain their identity, values and individuality. We believe it is important for people to maintain their personal and intimate friendships and be facilitated to create new ones within the home.We believe everyone has the absolute right to be treated with respect and dignity and experience pleasure and satisfaction. We ensure residents have the right to come and go as they wish and are facilitated to practice their own religious or cultural customs, manage their own personal affairs, exercise their right to take acceptable level of risk (dignity of risk) and have choices about how they wish to live their life. Residents’ safety and security are taken into account in the provision of care. We provide all health and personal care required by residents of our home and assistance is given as required. A resident’s privacy and dignity is always taken into account.

I have lived in this district all my life and I have been around the other nursing homes.

Mum has been here for almost 1 year. Mum at first refused to be put in a nursing home, however, as we the family could not manage mum at home, Abberfield was the best solution.

We looked at various other facilities but found them to be too intermingled cramped socially to be safe and comfortable for mum.

Abberfield offered mum her own space to be part of a community to socialise, exercise, dine with and given all the attention she needed.

Mum is so Happy there that when I call to take her out, she tells me to come back after her Bingo game, or after her Physio, after her afternoon tea party, after the community out etc. life is fulfilling at Abberfield and the staff listen to her requests, needs and help her in every possible way. We are so grateful for the love and care mum receives at Abberfield Sandringham.
